Encaustic Workshop: Learning about the process and materials. Live Online
- 10am - 12 pm (CDT)
- Thursday, June 11. 2020
- This class is a basic intro to encaustic painting. Encaustic paints are made of beeswax, resin, and pigmentation. The process of painting with encaustic paint requires a heated palette and a torch or heat gun in order to make the paint molten and movable.
- In this class, you will learn about history, painting supports, how to prepare the surface of the support, safety, and what you need to get started. You will receive a PDF outline once you have registered and paid for the class. Supplies and materials will be listed, but I would encourage you to simply watch, take notes, and ask questions.
- The video of the demonstration will be available for 1-week following the class. No refunds will be issued for the class.
