Mixing and Understanding Color Workshop
In this class, you'll learn about cool vs warm. You may think you have this, but you may be missing your target and this can lead to frustration. Do you know how to make the perfect brown? When you mix colors, do you sometimes end up with muddy, unappealing colors?

About the event
You will:
- Make a color wheel
- Discover new color combinations. This is isn't science class--you'll be amazed by what you already intuitively know.
- Experiment by painting over a bold base color, instead of white.
- Create color samples and your own palette of colors based on favorite colors
- Learn some fun historic facts
- Explore.
- Play.
- Have lots of fun while learning!
Class is 9-3, Saturday, July 10, 2021
All supplies will be provided. If you want to bring your own acrylics, that will be even better because you will be able to continue what you were doing at home. Paper will be provided.
I will offer some light refreshments.
This class will pass quickly as you discover wonderful things about color.
We will work mostly on a small scale. Swatches. We will have one large piece that will allow you to use some of your new knowledge to start a painting.
We will break for lunch. You can either bring a lunch or enjoy a meal out—there are lots of places nearby.
Wear old clothes. Be casual and comfortable.
